Louise Caroline Bertha, the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nuelle, was born November 9th, 1887, in Carroll County, Iowa. On the 5th day of May, 1905, she was married to George Struve. This union was blessed with 2 children, Leona, 4 years, and Gladys, 2 years old.

A very sad fate indeed has fallen this family. On February 11, 1911, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nuelle was brought to her last resting place on the 17th of February in the same year another sister of the deceased was brought here for burial and on the 18th of July a sister of the husband of the deceased was buried here and again sorrow has entered the family circle. On Sunday morning at 7 o'clock. Louise Caroline Bertha passed away. She attained the age of 24 years, 3 months and 9 days. Those that mourn her death are the following. The deeply afflicted husband, the sorrow stricken parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nuelle; two children, Leona and Gladys; two brothers, Henry and Willie; and four sisters, Frieda, Dora, Elsie and Louise; the parents of the husband, Mr. and Mrs. Carsten Struve; five brothers of the husband, Claus, John, Peter, Willie and Emily; and three sisters, Anna, Margaret and Lillie, and a large number of acquaintances and friends.

The funeral was held Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church, at Manning, Rev. A.W. Fruechte officiating.
