Mrs. Rose died Monday, September 7, 1987, at the Carroll Health Center.
There will be a prayer service Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning.
Casket bearers will be Roger Knute, Mark Hansen, Rodney Hansen, Dale Rose, Bruce Bruhn, and Paul Rosenau.
Survivors include four daughters, Lorna (Mrs. Lester) Knute of Glidden; Bernice Paxton of Canon City, Colorado; Gladys (Mrs. Virgil) Hansen of Audubon; and Louise (Mrs. Bill) Bruhn of Manning; a son, Harry Rose, and his wife, Florence, of Carroll; four brothers, Herbert Meyers, and his wife, Verena, of Jackson, Michigan; Walter Meyers, and his wife, Genevieve, of Brooklyn, Michigan; Edward Meyers, and his wife, Agnes, of Prudenville, Michigan; and Elmer Meyers, and his wife, Doris, of Brookfield, Wisconsin; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris, in 1980, an infant daughter, her parents and a son-in-law.
She was born May 20, 1905, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of Henry and Rosa Meyers. She moved to a farm near Arcadia with her family in 1917.
On July 19, 1924, she married Christoph Rose. The couple lived on farms near Arcadia, Glidden and Gray until they retired to Manning in 1967.
In May 1977, Mrs. Rose suffered a stroke, and in August 1978, she and her husband moved to Carroll Health Center. Her husband died in 1980.
