Louis Peter Wulf

Louis Peter Wulf was born on June 21, 1880, in Minden, Pottawatomie County, Iowa. He resided there till he was 10 years of age. From there the family moved to Washington and then to Manning, Iowa. His parents preceded him in death.

On April 6, 1906, he was married to a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Juergen Husmann. This union was blessed with one child.

On September 14, 1911, he was engaged in building a barn in Manning and met with such a serious accident that he was disabled for life and that it was necessary to remove him to a hospital at Carroll, Iowa. In spite of all scientific treatment there his condition remained the same. Lately, however it took a sudden turn and terminated in his death. On Thursday, February 23, 1911, at 11 o'clock p.m. he passed into the other world. Those that mourn his loss are a wife, and infant child, six brothers, three sisters, and a multitude of friends. He attained the age of 30 years, 8 months, and 2 days.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church. The interment was made at the Manning Cemetery. A.W. Fruechte of Manning, preaching the funeral service.

For the past year and a half, Louie Wulf had been in the Carroll Hospital. He had been visited by many of his friends. Although terribly injured, he had no pain and was in a cheerful mood. He died as he had lived, full of hope and cheer. May the sorrowing wife and relatives feel that they have the sympathy of their many friends.
