Louis Sprinkel Rites at Ethan

Funeral services for Louis Sprinkel, 60, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joel Rickenbach officiating.

The body will lie in state from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Milliken Funeral Home in Mitchell, South Dakota. Burial will be in the Ethan Cemetery, Ethan South Dakota.

Mr. Sprinkel was born September 7, 1909, at Manning, Iowa, to Clarence Aldren and Mary Magdalene (Grube) Sprinkel, and died July 22, 1970, at the Parkston Hospital.

On December 19, 1940, he married Eleanor Bickford at Wagner, South Dakota. He was an electrician.

Survivors include his widow, two sons, William, Ethan, South Dakota; and Michael, Onida, South Dakota; five sisters, Lillian Sprinkel, Woonsocket, South Dakota; Mrs. Lyle (Gladys) Seitz, Mitchell, South Dakota; Mrs. Elsie Schroeder, Howard, South Dakota; Mrs. A.J. (Irene) McElroy, Brisbane, California; and Mildred, San Francisco, California; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Harry, Lloyd, and Kenneth, and a sister, Phyllis Sprinkel.
