Rites will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Zion Lutheran Church at Manning, with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery, under direction of the Ohde Funeral Home.
Mr. Schelldorf was born here December 16, 1894, a son of George and Emma (Dau) Schelldorf. He graduated from Manning High School in 1912. After attending business school in Des Moines for a year lie entered the clothing business with his brother Herbert in Manning. He retired from the business in 1952 and later became an auto salesman for Manning Motor Company, working until early this year.
He was active in Manning civic affairs. He was a past president of the Chamber of Commerce and of the Manning-Manilla Country Club. He had served on the school board and was a past member of the Manning Fire Department.
Mr. Schelldorf is survived by his wife, the former Alma L. Pfoltner of Manning to whom he was married April 2, 1918; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Jerri) Sanders, Denison; a son, Charles, of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Herbert, in Florida; and a sister, Mrs. Ted (Florence) Rix, Longmont, Colorado.
Another sister preceded him in death.
