Louis Jurgen Wilhelm Pierson, 76, of Madison, South Dakota, died Wednesday, July 10, 1985, in the Madison Community Hospital.
Mr. Pierson was born February 23, 1909, in Manning, Iowa, to Elmer John and Bertha M. (Wenzel) Pierson.
He married Evelyn Petersen September 17, 1934, in Luverne, Minnesota.
He operated a bulk agency, then operated a gas station from 1946 to 1956, drove a truck for Siebenahler from 1956 to 1959, and worked for Cargill from 1959 to 1962 in Hardwick, Minnesota. He transferred to Madison, where he worked for Cargill from 1962 to 1964, and then worked for the Lake County Highway Department until retirement.
He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Madison.
Survivors include: his wife; a son, Wesley, Hopkins, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. James (Gail) Wiese, Brooklyn, New York; and Mrs. Harold (Denise) Seeley, Atwater, California; five grandchildren; a brother, Albert, Circle Pines, Minnesota; and two sisters, Mrs. Clint (Vione) Stamman, Luverne, Minnesota; and Mrs. Howard (Bernice) James, New Brighton, Minnesota.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday in Our Savior Lutheran Church, with burial in Graceland Cemetery in Madison, South Dakota.
