Louie Musfeldt Laid To Rest Sunday

Louie Musfeldt, youngest son of Louie and Laura Musfeldt, was born February 20th, 1927, near Botna, Iowa, and passed away May 28, 1931, at his home near Botna, having reached the age of 4 years, 3 months, and 8 days.

He was taken to the Wyatt Hospital some time ago, but all that medical skill and loving hands could do was unavailing. And on the afternoon of May 28th, he was called to that land where there is no pain or suffering.

The people of the entire community join in extending to the bereaved parents their deepest sympathy in this hour of sorrow.
He leaves to mourn his untimely passing his parents, one brother, Merlin, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Schroeder and Mrs. John Musfeldt, all of Manning, and a large number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Manning Sunday afternoon, May 31st, Pastor John M. Ansorge officiating. Interment in the Manning Cemetery.
As pall bearers acted the following: Fred Nulle, Leroy Nulle, John Musfeldt and Henry Musfeldt who are cousins of the deceased, who tenderly bedded the remains in earthly resting place.

Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were Herman Sievers and Hans Voss of Laurel, Nebraska; Henry Heesch and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Heesch of Pipestone, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Frerk of Slayton, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Larsen of Irwin, Iowa; and Mr. and Mrs. August Rohwer and daughters of Westside, Iowa.

God's plans, like lilies pure and white unfold
We must not tear the close-shut leaves apart.
Time will reveal the many cups of gold
And if through patience still we reach the land
Where tired feet with sandals loose may rest
When we shall clearly know and understand,
I think that we shall say that "God knows Best!"
