LOUIE MUSFELDT

Louie Leonard Musfeldt, 81, of Manning died at the Manning General Hospital Thursday morning, February 17, 1977.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning with Rev. Joel Wright of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Manning Cemetery under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning.

Mr. Musfeldt, son of John and Ann (Nottelmann) Musfeldt, was born on February 22, 1895, at Audubon County, Iowa. His marriage to Laura Schroeder took place on February 22, 1922. He farmed south of Manning with his brother until moving to Manning in 1948.

Surviving are one son, Merlin of Phoenix, Arizona; a daughter, Mrs. William (Phyllis) Opperman of Manning; seven grandchildren including Jeffrey of Tucson, Arizona; and Laurel of San Diego, California; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one son, Lewis, one sister, and seven brothers.

Funeral services were held for Louie Musfeldt Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home at Manning with Rev. Joel Wright, United Presbyterian Church, Manning, officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery with Merlin Struve, Eugene Schatz, Leroy Musfeldt, Henry Musfeldt, Harry Musfeldt and Fred Nulle as casketbearers. Mrs. Bonita Hagedorn was organist and Mrs. John, Detlefsen vocalist.

Louie, son of John and Anna (Nottelmann) Musfeldt, was born February 22, 1895, in Audubon County, Iowa. He was united in marriage with Laura Schroeder on February 22, 1977. He farmed south of Manning with his brother, and then moved to Manning in 1948.

He died at Manning General Hospital February 17, 1977, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and 25 days.

Preceding him in death were his wife, a son Louie, one sister and 7 brothers.

Mr. Musfeldt is survived by a son Merlin of Phoenix, Arizona, a daughter, Mrs. William (Phyllis) Opperman, Manning; 7 grandchildren including Jeffrey of Tucson, Arizona, and Laurel of San Diego, California; and one great-grandchild.
