Funeral services for Lois J. Tegels, 68, was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at the Church of the Nazarene, Fremont, Nebraska. Reverend Tom Shaw officiated the service. Interment was at Manning Cemetery, Manning, Iowa at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Lois, daughter of Charles and Viola (Schwartz) Nissen, was born July 16, 1933, at Manning, Iowa. She grew up and graduated from the high school in Manning. She then moved to Denison, Iowa for five years and to Logan, Iowa for ten years.

In 1968, Lois moved to Fremont, Nebraska and was employed at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County (now Fremont Area Medical Center), and then at Midland Lutheran College and was the office manager of Jetter's Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning for over twenty years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Allen Nissen, and granddaughter, Jessica Tegels.

She is survived by two sons: Kevin and wife, Lizze, Tegels of Black River Falls, Wisconsin and Kent Tegels and fiancee, Janell Mulcahy of Omaha, Nebraska; two brothers: Ron and wife, Donna Nissen, of Lee Summits, Missouri and Stan and wife, Millie Nissen, of Las Cruces, New Mexico; sister-in-law Marla Kienast of Manning, Iowa.
