Lois Fay Rumsey, a resident of Escondido for 30 years, died March 11, 1987, at her home. She was 90.

Born December 21, 1896, in Manning, Iowa, daughter of Samuel and Alta (Shepherd) Bingham, she and her first husband, Mr. Torgerson, had owned apartments in San Diego for 20 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Inez Bingham of Escondido; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Alhiser-Wilson Mortuary Chapel in Escondido. Private interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego.

The family requests that donations in her name be given to the American Cancer Society, 1340 W. Valley Pkwy., Escondido, CA 92025.
