MRS. LILLIAN WEGNER

Lillian Wilhelmina Wegner, Denison, daughter of William and Lillian (Brus) Jensen, was born March 31, 1904, at Manning, and died April 29, 1975, at Clarkson Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 71 years.

Mrs. Wegner was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended schools in Manning and Bloomfield, Nebraska. On December 12, 1923, she was united in marriage to Louie Wegner of Aspinwall at the Denison Lutheran Parsonage. They settled on a farm in the Manning and Manilla area, later moving on a farm near Buck Grove. In 1951 they moved to Denison where Mr. Wegner was employed by the Highway Commission. Mr. Wegner died in 1969.

Mrs. Wegner was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louie, a daughter, Evelyn Stephenson, and two sisters, Ella Lamprecht, and Adella Kruetzfeldt.

Survivors include her two daughters, Maurine (Mrs. Loren Kepford) of Norwalk, California, and Arlis, (Mrs. Leonard Petersen), of Ute, one son, William of Norwalk, California, seventeen grandchildren, three great granddaughters, two brothers, William of Manning, and Hubert of Clinton, three sisters, Mrs. Clara Lamp of Manning, Anna (Mrs. John Lafrentz) of Bloomfield, Nebraska, Gladys (Mrs. Leo Dalton) of Wausa, Nebraska, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, at the Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Maschke officiating, and Mrs. Fred Rabe playing the organ with Henry Henningsen singing "In the Garden" and the congregation singing "Rock of Ages." Pallbearers were Arnold Koertje, Elmer Foster, Delaine Dalton, Alton Anderson, Lester Karsten and Roger Gosch. Interment was made in Crawford Heights Memory Gardens with Huebner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
