Lillian Helen Mohr, 79, died Tuesday, July 7, 1981, at the Manning General Hospital.
She was a retired telephone operator, had been an employee of Priebe's and had been active in local organizations.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11, at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. Dennis Johnson, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.
Bonita Hagedorn will be organist and Ray Pratt vocalist for the rites. Serving as active pallbearers will be Gary Whited, Larry Mohr, John Whited, Bruce Whited, Douglas Mohr, and Dr. Ronald Hinze. Honorary bearers will be Dennis Whited, Kyle Whited, Kelvin Whited, Scott Mohr, Craig Whited, Brian Whited, Steve Mohr, and Berton Whited.
Mrs. Mohr is survived by five children: Mrs. Roy (Marilyn) Whited, Denison; Wade (Bud), Manning; Mrs. John (Marjorie) Whited, Denison; Mrs. Wayne (Lila) Schroeder, Manning, and Mrs. Orville (Iva) Hinze, Arcadia; 24 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Laverna Hoffman, Rohnert Park, California; two sisters-in-law: Lavina Dethlefs and Antonio Hinz, both of Manning; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers: Albert, in World War I; Henry Dethlefs, and Otto Hinz; three sisters: Mrs. Roy (Alvera) Mork, Helma in infancy, and Minnie Hinz.
Mrs. Mohr was born in Manning October 2, 1901, a daughter of August Henry and Sophie Henrietta Charlotte (Ahrens) Dethlefs. She attended Manning schools. On February 15, 1922, she was married to Henry Ferdinand Mohr and they made their home in Manning. He died April 16, 1951.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church, the United Presbyterian Women, Friendship Club, American Legion Auxiliary' and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
