Sudden Heart Attack is Fatal to Mrs. Moerke

Mrs. Paul G. Moerke, 63, died Sunday evening at the home which she and her husband occupied on west Pipestone Avenue, as the result of a heart attack with which she was suddenly stricken. She had previously been subject to this affliction.

Mrs. Moerke was the mother of Miss Lola Moerke, superintendent of Flandreau hospital, and of Mrs. Dick Stuedeman, who lives six miles southeast of this city. She is also survived by her husband. The family came to Flandreau eleven years ago, and Mrs. Moerke was employed for a time at the hospital. Two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Moerke bought the house which they occupied, just east of the Catholic Church. Funeral Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. H.P. Eberhart. Interment was made at Flandreau cemetery.

Lillian May Anthony was born in Albion, Iowa, August 30, 1872. She was married to Paul G. Moerke in Sioux City, Iowa, July 16, 1890, and passed away June 20, 1936, at the age of 63 years, 9 months, and 20 days.

She is survived by her husband, Paul G. Moerke; by two daughters, Mrs. Dick Stuedeman and Miss Lola May Moerke, and one grandson, Ralph Stuedeman. One granddaughter passed away in Manning at the age of one and a half years. She is survived also by her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Anthony, of Sioux City, as well as by three sisters, Mrs. O.J. Kellogg, Mrs. Dorothy Tiffany, and Mrs. Fred Beck, who also live at Sioux City.
