Lillian (Mrs. Lars) Meyer, 97, of Springfield, died Friday October 20, 1989 at St. John's Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield, with burial in Sundown Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Monday and 7-11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, and at the church one hour prior to services.
Survivors include daughter, Shirley Weis of New Ulm; sons- in-law Milton Christensen of Mankato and John Weis of New Ulm; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Miss Elsie Puck and Mrs. Emma Harke, both of Mankato.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lars in 1975, daughter, Arlean Christensen in 1977, sister, Ida, and brothers, Julius, Herman, Emil, and Lewis.
She was born April 5, 1892 in Manning, Iowa, to Eggert and Trinke (Joens) Puck. She married Lars Meyer December 23, 1914, at Sundown Lutheran Church. She has lived in Northstar Township, Willow Lake Township, Redwood Falls, Mankato, and a brother, Robert Meyer of Portland, Oregon; and a sister, Audrey Olesen of Memphis, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Clayton and Calvin.
Funeral Services were held at Lake Sarah Baptist Church, rural Slayton, Minnesota, on Monday, August 16, 1993 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Music provided by Jim Smith. Pallbearers were Rueben Anderson, Donald Larson, Jeff Feldick, Larry Okerlund, Mark Anderson, and Scott Anderson.
Interment at Olena Mound Cemetery, Buffalo Center, Iowa.
