Funeral rites for Mrs. Lila Myatt, 92, of Omaha, a former resident, were held on Monday, February 22, 1971, at 2 p.m., at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, with Rev. Andrew Stewart-Morris of the Manning Methodist Church officiating.
Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.
Daughter of Frank and Rachel (Goundry) Blair, she was born April 1, 1878, at Carroll.
She attended Manning schools and graduated from Manning High School in 1894. She then taught rural schools and the second grade in the Manning schools. She was married in 1905 to James Myatt. They lived in Manning until 1915 and then moved to Wisconsin where they farmed until 1930. They then returned to a farm east of Manning, and moved into town in 1945. In 1958, they moved to Omaha to live with a daughter, and Mr. Myatt died on August 20 of that year.
Mrs. Myatt continued to live with her daughter in Omaha. She died on Friday afternoon at the Hallmark Care Center in Omaha.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, Ben; her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by three children: Don Myatt of York, Nebraska; Mrs. Herbert (Letha) Swanson, Ladysmith, Wisconsin; and Mrs. Louise Boardman of Omaha; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
