LESTER W. ROWEDDER
Lester Wilbur Rowedder, 57, retired Manning hardware merchant, died at his home here early Wednesday morning, January 1, 1964.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Manning, with Pastor George B. Eschenbacher officiating. Burial will be in Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Rowedder was born October 21, 1906, at Payette, Idaho, a son of Willie and Helena (Joachimsen) Rowedder. At the age of two years, he came with his family to a farm near Manning. He attended rural schools, Ewoldt No. 9, Hayes No. 6, and Hayes No. 7, and graduated from Manning High School in 1925. He farmed until 1928, when he was employed by Kuhl and Vogt Hardware. He later became a partner in the firm and sold his interest in January 1962, due to failing health.

His marriage to Elsa Rohr took place at Manning on December 29, 1929.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Royce Rowedder, Waukesha, Wisconsin; and Deanes Rowedder, Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Mrs. Arland (Carol) Waters, Charles City, and Mrs. Allan (Susan) Fonken, Spokane, Washington; ten grandchildren; his mother, a resident of Friendship Home, Audubon; one brother, Elmer Rowedder, Inglewood, California; and one sister, Mrs. Delbert (Ione) Kullbom, Atlantic.

Mr. Rowedder was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Herbert Frahm.
