LESTER EARL McMAHON
Age 63, died at a local hospital January 10, 1966. Son of James and Sarah "Sadie" (Noon) McMahon, he was born April 2, 1902 at Elk Horn, Iowa.

He had been a resident of Lansing 37 years coming here from Iowa where was employed with the Iowa State Highway Department. He was a graduate of Iowa State University in Engineering, and a member of Delta Chi Fraternity. A member of the Registered Professional Engineers of the State of Michigan, a member of Michigan Highway Department Men's Club. He started with the Michigan State Highway Department in 1928, as a draftsman and later was Data Processing Engineer with the Office Services Division of the Highway Department.

Surviving are his wife, Freda Maxine (Nickel) McMahon; 6 brothers: Francis, Jesse, Harry, Walter, Bernard, and Glen all of Manning, Iowa; 1 sister Eunice (Mrs. Gus) Jensen also of Manning, Iowa; 1 daughter Mrs. Roger Hekhuis of Chicago; 1 granddaughter, Cathy Ann Hekhuis, also of Chicago.

Religious services will be conducted by Rev. LaVern Bretz of Valley Farms Baptist Church at the Estes Leadley Colonia Chapel at 11:00 Thursday morning, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Bearers will be Edmund Arranga, Thomas Clark, Kenneth Thompson, Kenneth Van Damme, Jack Rowland, Ralph Souchek.
