Leon Modlin
The home of Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Modlin of Templeton has been saddened by the death of their little Leon which occurred on Sunday morning. He had been ill for several weeks with inflammation of the bowels and other complications. If he had lived until July 28 he would have been one year old. The funeral was held under the auspices of the Manning Knights of Pythias Lodge, of which Mr. Modlin is a member, on Monday afternoon and the remains were interred in the Manning cemetery. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the young couple in their sad bereavement.
Note Manning Cemetery tombstone records: Leon Modlin, 1 year; son of H.C. and G.B. Modlin. Also another infant sibling who died in 1891.
