Leola was born April 17, 1924, in Manning, Iowa, to John and Rosa (Groteluschen) Keat. She died March 31, 2014, in Papillion, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert O. Petersen; parents; two sisters and a brother. She is survived by sons: Charles R. (Sharon) Petersen, Papillion, Nebraska, and John T. (Pam) Petersen, Salt Lake City, Utah; granddaughters: Leslie Petersen, Omaha and Laura (Jaycob) McCormick, Gretna; great-grandchildren: Nathan and Delaney McCormick and many nieces and nephews.

GRAVESIDE SERVICES and military honors will be held Friday, April 11th 2014 at 11:30am at the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska. Memorials to favorite charity.
