Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Ohde Funeral Home here, with burial in the Manning Cemetery. The Rev. Don Griffin, pastor of the United Methodist Church, will officiate. Friends may call at Ohde's after 1 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. McConnell, daughter of James and Bertha (Silverwood) Spear, was born November 2, 1912, near Irwin in and graduated from Irwin High School. On January 27, 1932, she married Raymond Gray and they farmed near Manilla and Manning before moving to Alexandria, Minnesota, in 1949.
Mr. Gray died June 11, 1951, and she moved to Manning in October 1952. Her marriage to Mr. McConnell took place August 9, 1962, and they lived on a farm near Botna, moving to Manning two years ago.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, Donald Gray of Carson, Washington; and Loyce Gray of Manning; two step-sons, Dick McConnell of Manning and Ronald McConnell of San Diego, California; two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and a sister, Lillian Spear of Manning.
