The friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Sander will deeply sympathize with them in the loss of their son, Leland Arden, who was taken from them by death on Saturday, May 19, 1934, after an illness of but a few days.
Leland Arden Sander was born on July 6th, 1933, in Manning, Iowa. The little boy was apparently a healthy child until a few days ago when he contracted a cold which developed into croup, later into pneumonia and infantile paralysis. His suffering was of a short duration, but intense.
He leaves to mourn his death, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Sander and a sister Marlene Rae, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O.A. Borkowski and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Sander, and many other relatives.
The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Church, the Rev. John M. Ansorge officiating. Interment was made in the Manning Cemetery.
As pall bearers acted Willis Grimm, LeRoy Joens, Eugene Thomsen, and George Pfoltner.
We extend our deepest sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Sander in their hour of bereavement.
