Laural L. Vetter

Laural "Laurie" Llane Vetter, age 57, of rural Manning, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia with Pastor Jonathan Conner officiating. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday where there will be a prayer service held at 7:00 P.M. The casket will be moved to the church at 8:30 A.M. on Wednesday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Organist for the service will be Spencer Owen and the congregation will sing. Casket bearers will be Keith Leiting, Larry Irlbeck, Danny Irlbeck, Ronny Frahm, Kyle Stribe, and Matt Mikkelsen. Burial will be in the Arcadia Cemetery.

Born on April 8, 1957, in Lake City, Iowa, she was the daughter of LeRoy and Patricia (Parker) Larson. She was raised on her family's farm near Lake City and graduated from Lake City High School in 1975. She attended Iowa Central Community College for two years. She was married to Keith Vetter on January 15, 1982, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia by Pastor Sawhill. The couple made their home on Keith's family farm north of Manning and Laural worked for General Electric in Carroll for 10 years. She then worked at the Manning Plaza Nursing Home for 10 years and retired in June of 2013 due to ill health. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia. She loved to go on trips to Las Vegas and spend time at her family's cabin in Waskish, Minnesota.

Laural is survived by her husband Keith of rural Manning; a son David Vetter of rural Manning; her mother Pat Eikenberry of rural Auburn, Iowa; a brother Randy Larson and his wife Marge of Lake City, Iowa; a step-sister Marilynn Smith of Spirit Lake, Iowa; a sister-in-law Carol Satterlee and her husband Alan of Omaha, Nebraska; a brother-in-law Dennis Vetter and his wife Dianne of Arcadia, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her father LeRoy in 1976, a son Michael in infancy, and her step-father Don Eickenberry.
