Labert Julius Stahl, Sr., 77, of Manning, died Tuesday evening June 20, 1978, at Manning General Hospital.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 10 30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church in Manning. Msgr. Dean Walker will officiate at the services.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. A Bible service and Rosary will be held 8 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home with Msgr. Walker, officiating.
Labert Stahl, the son of Ferdinand and Lena (Petersen) Stahl, was born November 10, 1900, in Clinton County. He came to Manning as a small child.
His marriage to Hazel Foster took place June 10, 1920. The couple farmed near Manning until moving to Manning where Mr. Stahl was a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Phyllis) Henderson of San Diego, California; and Mrs. Leonard (Shirley) Frahm of Raeford, North Carolina; two sons, Labert "Bud" Stahl, Jr. of Manning and Kenneth at home; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Mrs. Minnie Jessen, of Low Moor, Iowa; one half-brother, Jasper Sherwood, of Manning.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Leslie, one sister, one half-sister, and one brother.
