KIM SQUIRES
Kim R. Squires, 16, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Squires of Superior, Nebraska, formerly of Manning, died Monday, April 28, 1975, following a head-on auto collision at Superior April 27. Her father was executive vice-president and manager of the Manning Trust and Savings Bank from November 1971, until July 1974, when the family moved to Superior.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Superior. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, also at Superior, Nebraska, with close friends and classmates as pallbearers.

Miss Squires was born April 24, 1959, in Lake City. She attended schools in Iowa and South Dakota and was a sophomore at Superior. Before moving to Manning the Squires family lived at Vermillion, South Dakota, and Spencer.

Surviving with her parents are her grandfather, Arlo H. Squires of Rockwell City, and many other relatives. According to the Superior Police Department, Miss Squires, who had received her driver's license only four days before was driving a car on the truck route around the Superior city limits when another car crossed the center line, hitting her car head-on. A passenger in the Squires car received arm, leg, and foot injuries, and the driver of the other car, a broken jaw.
Charges are pending upon further investigation.
