Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 4500 Duxhall Drive in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. in Lincoln. The family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions to Nebraska Cochlear Implant Sertoma Scholarship Fund in lieu of flowers.
A son of Donald and Alice (Wagner) Stangl, he was born March 20, 1954, at Fort Dodge and graduated from Manning High School in 1972.
He and Deborah Dillehay were married in 1975 at Carroll.
Kevin worked for Lincoln Winnelson at Lincoln. He volunteered for Boy Scouts of America Cornhusker Council and was president of the Nebraska CI Sertoma Club.
Survivors include his wife, Deb, of Lincoln; a son, Jared Stangl, and his wife, Liz, of Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Jana Stangl, and Chad Hendry of Chicago, Ill.; his mother, Alice Stangl, of Manning; two sisters: Barb Snyder and husband Algene of Carroll and Jean Mayland and husband Troy of Webb; a brother, Mark Stangl, of Manning; his mother-in-law, Norma Dillehay, of Carroll; three sisters-in-law and their spouses: Diane Raymond of Carroll, Dawn and Bill Henss of Estherville and Ronda Bayliss and Roger Ott of Jefferson; and a brother-in-law, Scott Dillehay, and his wife, Becky, of Carroll.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father; his father-in-law, Darrell Dillehay; a brother-in-law, Troy Dillhay; and his grandparents.
