Kent Misselhorn, son of deceased parents, Amos Misselhorn and Rita (Wanninger) Misselhorn, was born February 22, 1955, and raised in Manning, Iowa. He attended the Manning Community School system for 13 years (K-12), graduating in May 1973. After graduating, Kent attended Des Moines Area Community College and obtained certifications in Mechanical and Architectural Drafting.
Most of Kent's employment centered around drafting and carpentry work, both residential and commercial. Kent was also a certified Contractor in Arizona. Work locations included Carroll County and surrounding areas in Iowa, the Dallas-Fort Worth area (Texas), Phoenix and suburbs (Arizona), and New Orleans (Louisiana).
Kent's favorite activities included riding his motorcycle, traveling and learning about the people and places where he lived, fishing, alligator hunting when living in New Orleans, and making knives.
Kent died on Friday, July 3, 2021. He was 66 years, and 131 days old. Kent is survived by his sister, Twyla Misselhorn and her husband, Steven Masters, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and his brother, Keith Misselhorn of Manning, Iowa. Kent was an uncle to 5 nieces and nephews and is survived by many cousins.
There will be no funeral service or internment.
