Kelly Pratt was born December 29, 1949, to Raymond Orin and Helen Frances (McGrath) Pratt at Manning, Iowa. He grew up in Manning where he was baptized and confirmed in the First Presbyterian Church and graduated from Manning High School with the class of 1968. After graduation he attended New College in Sarasota, Florida, from which he graduated in 1972.
He returned to Manning for a short time in 1972 and worked for the Garst Company in Coon Rapids. He then left Manning for Sarasota, Florida, to work for Microlife Technics, a food additive business.
In 1975 he was transferred by the company to Stuttgart, Germany, and lived and worked primarily in Europe since then. He traveled extensively on business.
In June of 1985, he married Petra Heilman of Stuttgart, Germany. Kelly and his family were residing in The Hague, Netherlands, at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Petra, and her two children by a previous marriage, Eveline and Frank Bergmuller; by a daughter, Elena Pratt; a sister, Carolyn Blohm and family of Audubon; two brothers, Dan Pratt and family of Wichita, Kansas, and John Pratt and family of Kenosha, Wisconsin; grandfather, Orin E. Pratt of Manning; and many other relatives and friends.
His first wife was Erica Koenig, who had a daughter, Yasmine, from a previous marriage.
