KATIE MUSEFELDT

Mrs. Katie Paulsen Musfeldt, 88, Manning, died Saturday, January 31, 1976, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, where she had been a patient for about three weeks.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church here, with burial in the Manning Cemetery. Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiated. Arrangements were under direction of the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning.

Mrs. Musfeldt was born near Sutherland, in O'Brien County, November 24, 1887. At the age of seven years she moved with her parents to Missouri and in 1898, to Audubon County. She married William Musfeldt in 1908 and they farmed until moving into Manning in 1949. In 1969, they moved to the Carroll Manor nursing home and following his death in 1971, she continued to live there.

Mrs. Musfeldt is survived by five children including Mrs. Adolph (Elsie) Puck of Manilla, Henry and Bill of Manning, Mrs. Henry (Ella) Sonksen of Carroll and Mrs. Lawrence (Doris) Warren of Trenton, Missouri; three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; and two sisters, Mrs. Alvena Stribe of Manning and Mrs. William Welding of Portland, Oregon.

Preceding her in death besides her husband were a son, Arnold, killed in World War II; two grandchildren; three brothers, Charlie, Pete, and Henry Paulsen; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Jordan, and Mrs. Emma Borkowski.
