Former Manning Resident Being Buried

Funeral services for Jurgen Tank, 88, who passed away at his home, in Long Beach, Calif., June 22, were held in the Ohde Funeral Home at Manning Friday at 2 o'clock. Rev. Alexander Wimberly conducted the services, Clifford M. Johnson, accompanied by Mrs. Bonita Hagedorn, sang. Pallbearers were P.H. Jones, R.G. Sutherland, H.C. Reinholdt, Ed Breckenridge, August Reinhold and Harry Schacht.

Mr. Tank was engaged in the lumber business here about fifty years ago. The business now known as Hoffmann Brothers, was operated by Mr. Tank and John Hoffmann, father of the present owners. Mr. Tank is survived by one son, Julius Tank, Long; Beach one brother, Chris Tank, Manning; one sister, Mrs. August Schroeder, Westside.

Burial will be in the Manning cemetery where members of family are buried. The body arrived in Manning Thursday evening.
