Funeral Service

Drivers in a funeral procession must turn on vehicle headlights, drive in a close formation and be alert.
June Elizabeth, daughter of Mathias and Dessa (Kusel) Jensen, was born September 21, 1922, at Audubon, Iowa. She attended Audubon High School through the 11th grade and then stayed at home with her sisters to care for their failing mother. June also worked at Priebe & Son's Hatchery in Manning.
On August 9, 1942, June was united in marriage with Harold William Ruhde at the Church of Christ parsonage in Audubon. Two sons were born to this union. Harold entered the service and upon his return in 1945, the couple went to work at the Manning Creamery until it closed. June then worked at the school doing laundry and custodial work. June and Harold both retired in 1984. Harold died July 22, 1997.
June was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Manning. She enjoyed cleaning and walking.
In January of 2004, June became a resident of the Manning Plaza Nursing Home in Manning, Iowa, and died there on Tuesday, February 14, 2006. She was 83 years, 4 months and 24 days of age.
Besides her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by two brothers Alvin Jensen and Ward Jensen and wife Ruth, and two sisters Fern Ramsey and Pearl Dammann.
She is survived by her sons Larry Ruhde and wife Elaine of Carroll and Steve Ruhde and wife Karen of Omaha, NE: three grandchildren: Renee and husband Mitch Busch of Holt, MO; Rob Ruhde of White Chapel, TX; Ryan Ruhde of Omaha, NE; great-grandson Zach Busch of Holt, MO; two brothers-in-law Orren Ramsey and LeRoy Dammann of Manning; sister-in-law Arlene Jensen of Manning; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
