Julius Rogers
In the afternoon, July 4, 1925, while bathing Julius Rogers
was drowned in the lake at the Great Western Park. When it was discovered that
he was sinking he was immediately rescued and brought to shore. First aid help
was given and physicians were immediately summoned.
It was of no avail as life was gone. Funeral services were
held at the First Presbyterian Church Sunday, Rev. Harry Coats, officiating.
The remains were shipped to Minden, Iowa, Monday. The sympathy the entire community goes out to sorrowing loved ones.
