JULIUS E. POLZIN
Julius Edward Polzin, 77, life-long resident of the Manning area, died Tuesday afternoon, March 3, 1970, shortly after entering the Manning General Hospital.

Final rites will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church, Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery, under direction of the Ohde Funeral Home of Manning.

Mr. Polzin was born August 23, 1892, in Lincoln Township, Audubon County. His parents were Albert and Bertha (Rudnick) Polzin. He attended Lincoln No. 5 rural school, and on September 26, 1918, married Elsie David at Manning.

They farmed near Manning until 1934 when they moved to Gray, later moving in 1943 to Manning, where he was employed by the city until 1967. He had been in failing health the past month.

He was preceded by a son, Earl, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Arlene) French and Mrs. George (Gladys) Musfeldt, both of Manilla; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; also four brothers, Fred, Louis, and Arnold of Flagler, Colorado; Frank of Denver; and three sisters, Ida Polzin, and Mrs. Erna Nieman of Flagler, Mrs. Tillie Ecker of Colorado Springs.


Julius Polzin is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
