Mrs. Julia Dorothea Thiedeman, 80, of Manning died Thursday, January 2, 1969, at Manning General Hospital Where she had been a patient since suffering a stroke on December 20.
Her funeral will be at 11:30 a. m. Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church, Manning, of which she was a member. Pastor Edward F. Heinicke will officiate. Pallbearers will be Orville Thiedeman, Donald Bornhoft, Leroy Wiebers, Delbert Vinke, Ernest Grimm, and Clousie Grimm. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery, under direction of the Ohde Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thiedeman was born April 2, 1888, in Crawford County, a daughter of Henry and Lena (Sperling) Vinke. She attended rural school. Her marriage to Charles Thiedeman took place at Manning January 14, 1914, and they farmed south of Westside until retiring and moving into Manning in 1939. Following her husband's death on February 19, 1956, Mrs. Thiedeman continued to reside in Manning, living alone until becoming ill last month.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Myles (Vernetta) Dau, Manning, and Mrs. Marvin (Leola) Kuhl, Manilla; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Thiedeman was preceded in death by five brothers, Dethlef, Julius, Henry, John, and Gus
Vinke; and three sisters, Mrs. Dora Grimm, Mrs. Laura Welsh, and Mrs. Amelia Martens.
