John H. Wulf Rites Monday

Burial services were held in the Remsen Community Cemetery Monday afternoon for John H. Wulf, 71, well known former farmer in this community who died Saturday, December 26, at his home in Bronson, Iowa. He had been in poor health a long time.

Funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside, the Rev. Raymond H. Tiemeyer of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Sioux City officiating.

Born at Manning, Mr. Wulf was born November 29, 1882, near Manning, Iowa, and lived on farms near Remsen for about 40 years until moving to a farm near Sioux City. He was married in 1918 in Remsen to Marie Raveling, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Raveling, early Remsen residents. The family moved from near Sioux City to Bronson six years ago.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Elmer of Sioux City; Melvin and Richard, both of Bronson; five daughters, Mrs. Herman Renschau of Rock Valley, Iowa; Mrs. John Murphy, Jr., of Le Mars; and Mrs. Arthur Wulf of Schleswig, Iowa; and the Misses Irma of Glenwood, Iowa; and Joyce of Bronson; two brothers, Edward of Le Mars and Charles of Remsen; a sister Mrs. Gus Paape of Dodge Center, Minnesota; and 10 grandchildren.
