Funeral services for John Wiese, 76, were held at the Ohde Funeral Home here at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, with the Rev. George B. Eschenbacher of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

A son of Wilhelm and Margretha (Erps) Wiese, he was born January 8, 1884, in Hayes Township, and farmed there for many years. In 1934, he moved into Manning, where he did carpenter work. For the past two years he had been in a Carroll nursing home.

He died early Monday morning, November 28, 1960, at St. Anthony Hospital.

He is survived by two brothers, Detlef, Vail; and William F. Wiese, formerly of Vail; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Kreutzfeldt, Larrabee; and Mrs. Sarah Hell, Manning; nieces and nephews.
