Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Whitcher received the notice here Monday that John Whitcher, brother of Mr. Whitcher had passed away at his home in Los Angeles, California, on Friday, February 17, 1939. The funeral was reported to be held on Wednesday, February 22nd. The deceased leaves his wife in Los Angles; his father, S.E. (Capt.) Whitcher in Soldad, Cal.; four sisters, Mrs. Harry Klindt of Rapid City, S.D.; Mrs. Rube Pew of Gonzales, Calif.; Mrs. E. Babcock of North Hollywood, Cal.; and Mrs. Paul Neuman of Botna, Iowa; and two brothers, William Whitcher of Manning and Rueben Whitcher of Gonzales, California.
