John J. Vinke

From the Council Bluffs Nonpareil May 19, 1952 MANNING - Funeral services for John Vinke, 76, were held Monday at the Ohde Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harlan Kruse of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Vinke was born on a farm in Crawford County, and came to Manning in 1914.

Vinke died on Friday morning. He had been ill for six months of a heart condition.

He is survived by his widow, Augusta, and four daughters, Mrs. Tom Lake of Kansas City, Mrs. Herman Hagedorn of Carroll, Mrs. Jack Gaffney of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Jack Shaven of Carroll; a brother, Dethlef Vinke of Manning; and three sisters, Mrs. Dora Grimm, Mrs. Charles Thiedeman of Manning and Mrs. Laura Welch of Council Bluffs.


John Vinke is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
