John Sextro

Funeral services for John Sextro, 72, formerly of Manning, will be held Saturday, December 19, 1964, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Manning, with burial in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Sextro, who had lived at Yarnell, Arizona, for more than ten years, died there December 13, 1964, at the Twilight Nursing Home in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was born April 19, 1892, near Templeton and farmed in this area until after the death of his first wife, Clara, in 1947.

He is survived by his second wife, Hannah, and the following children: Mrs. Joe (Helen) Lampe, Mosinee, Wisconsin; Leo and Edward, Manning; Hubert and Marie, Omaha; Leonard, Manning; Mrs. Leon (Dorothy) Masching, Carroll; Norbert, St. Charles, Missouri; Mrs. Larry (Ruth) Vanderheiden, Carroll; and Mrs. Warren (Maxine) Meier, Tekamah, Nebraska. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Frank and Ben Sextro, Manning; and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Drees, Manning, and Mrs. Pauline Kerkhoff, Templeton.

A daughter, Edna, also preceded him in 1936.
