JOHN ROWEDDER
John Rowedder, 70, died unexpectedly at his home in Manning Tuesday evening, January 12, 1965.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Zion Lutheran Church here, with Pastor Edward Heinicke officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers and interment will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Rowedder was born in Hayes Township, Crawford County, on March 18, 1894, a son of William and Anna (Kall) Rowedder. He attended rural school near his home. On December 8, 1915, he was married to Ella Mordhorst, who survives. After living in Manning for a year, they moved to a farm northwest of Aspinwall, and later to another farm north of Aspinwall. In 1953, they retired and moved into Manning.

Surviving besides his wife are five children: Gilbert, Westside; Mrs. Wilmer (Berdine) Ehrichs, Denison; LeRoy, Virgil, and Mrs. Russell (JoAnn) Mohr, Manning; 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hilda Hansen of Gray, and a brother, Julius Rowedder, Manning.

Mr. Rowedder was preceded in death by an infant son, Leonard; five grandchildren; four brothers, Willie, Herman, Henry, and Louie Rowedder; and five sisters, Mrs. Anna Langbehn, Mrs. Amelia Schroeder, Mrs. Lena Wiess, Mrs. Laura Kasperbauer, and Ella Rowedder.

Services for John Rowedder, 70, retired farmer, will be Friday morning a Zion Lutheran Church here. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Rowedder died suddenly at his home in South Manning on Tuesday.

He is survived by his widow; three sons, two daughters; 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a sister and brother.
