Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Petersen, August Ross, Herman Pahde, Leon Hass, Ernest Dee Sutherland, and William H. Fink.
Mr. Reetz died unexpectedly of a stroke at his home here about 7:20 a.m. Monday.
A son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reetz, John was born August 6, 1886, at Charter Oak, where he was reared. He attended school there, Denison Business school and the State University of Iowa. He was a university student for two years.
Coming to Manning in 1909, Mr. Reetz was employed by the Rober-Wehrmann Company for two years. In 1911, he became associated with the German Savings Bank, as cashier. Five years later, he transferred to the First National Bank, where he was employed at the time of his death.
He was married in 1910 to Augusta Topf of Charter Oak. Surviving with his wife are a son, Franklin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who arrived in Manning Monday night, and a sister, Mrs. Louis Strock of Charter Oak.
Mr. Reetz was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Charter Oak. He had been a member of Zion Lutheran Church here since coming to Manning.
