Funeral Rites Held At Manning Church For John Schade, 73
Funeral services for John C. Schade, 73, were held December 4 at the Lutheran Church.

Mr. Schade, born October 21, 1872, in Schleswig, Holstein, Germany, died November 30, 1945, at 5 p.m. in the University Hospital at Iowa City.

Burial is at Lincoln Township Cemetery, Audubon County.

On September 14, 1898, he was married to Emma Wenzel, who preceded him in death November 10, 1929.

Eight children were born to them, one son, John, died in infancy.

Survivors include Mrs. Laura Rudnick, Manning; Raymond Schade, Glidden; Mrs. Beata David, Manning; Mrs. Laura Starck, Chicago; Mrs. Viola Reuwsaat, Denison; Mrs. Wilma Kurz, San Francisco; and Mr. Merle Schade, Manning; also one sister, Mrs. Lena Schellenberg, Minneapolis; and 10 grandchildren.

Out-of-town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Starck and family, Chicago; Dr. Harry and Rudolph Hoffeins, Denison; Mrs. Hugo Schellenberg, Minneapolis.
