Rostermundt Rites Will Be Saturday
Funeral services for Johanna (Claussen) Rostermundt, who died Thursday noon, June 17, 1943, will be at the Ohde Funeral Home here Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Rev. H.J. Timmer, minister of the Presbyterian Church at Manilla, will conduct the services and Clifford M. Johnson will be soloist. Pallbearers will be Harry Reinholdt, Alfred Kuhl, John Junge, John Campbell, Rudolph H. Kuhl, and Howard Dau.

Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Rostermundt in 1935, an infant daughter in 1886, and a son, John, in 1921.

Mrs. Rostermundt Of Manning Dies Today at Age 86
Mrs. Nick Rostermundt, who had lived in Manning for more than half a century, died at her home here this noon. After a lengthy illness, death came to her at the age of 86 years.

The body is at the Ohde Funeral Home, awaiting completion of funeral. arrangements.

Mrs. Rostermundt, a daughter of John and Anna Claussen, was born Johanna Claussen April 10, 1857, in Schleswig Holstein. Coming to Iowa from Germany in 1880, she lived in Crawford County for seven years before moving to Carroll County in 1887.

Her marriage to Nick Rostermundt took place in Denison in 1880. Mr. Rostermundt died December 1, 1935.

Mrs. Rostermundt leaves one son, Harry Rostermundt of Manning, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Another son, John, died in 1921.

She was the last of her family.

Mrs. Rostermundt was a member of the Daily Times Herald Three Quarter Century Club.
