Thank you everyone who shared our sorrow, your cards, flowers, food, visits and
words of comfort were greatly appreciated. Thanks to the ladies who stayed at
the house, also those who cooked and served the delicious dinner at church,
also Dr. Edgerton, the hospital staff, very kind nursing staff of Manning
General Hospital, Ruth, and Bill for their superb service, Dorothy for the
music and Pastor Heinicke for his most comforting words, which will never be forgotten.
Jennifer loved you all and leaves you with this message.

JENNIFER MARIE SCHATZ
Jennifer Marie Schatz, 35, died Saturday, October 2, 1982, at
the Manning General Hospital. She had been in failing health for several months.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Dorothy Kusel was organist. Burial, under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home of Manning, was in the Manning Cemetery. Active casketbearers were Jerry Rasmussen, Gerald Schulte, Lyle Bald, Frank Hermsen, Lyle Borkowski, and William Benson. Honorary bearers were JoAnn Baumhover, George Fry, Elaine Bueldt, Daryl Hoffmann, Margaret Hayes, and James Ranniger. Miss Schatz is survived by her parents, a brother Gene and his wife Betty, Glenwood; a half-sister Sandy Bronner, Willows, California; nieces and nephews.
She was born January 4, 1947, at Manning, a daughter of
Eugene and Grace (Jensen) Schatz. She made her home with her parents. She had
attended Carroll County Special Education classes at Grant No. 5 school near
Carroll for seven years and the County Developmental Training Center at Maple
River for two years. From September of 1977 until August of 1981, she was a
day-care resident at New Hope Village in Carroll.
