Mrs. Nady Rites Here
Mrs. X.C. Nady, 82, former Fairfield resident, died suddenly Tuesday, June 11, 1974, at the Camellia Care Center in Denver, Colorado. She had been in failing health for three years.

Last rites will be held Monday, June 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield with Father Karl Holtkamp officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa.

Prayers for a Christian wake will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home.

The former Jennie Wray, Mrs. Nady was born in Fairfield February 26, 1892, the daughter of James A. and Elizabeth (Allen) Wray. She was reared and educated in this community. She was married to Xavier C. Nady June 4, 1917.

Mrs. Nady taught school in the Fairfield area, Des Moines, and Stanwood. Mr. and Mrs. Nady moved from Fairfield to Des Moines in 1945. They also lived in Manning before moving to Tipton in 1953 where Mr. Nady was associated with the law firm of France, France, and Nady. Since 1968, they made their home in Youngstown, Arizona.

Mrs. Nady was a member of St. Joachim Church in Youngstown. She was a past regent of Log Cabin Chapter of DAR, past grand regent of Catholic Daughters of the Americas and a former member of the Fairfield Women's Club and Country Club.

Surviving are her husband and three children: Xavier W. Nady, Denver, Colorado; Gary A. Nady, Dallas, Texas; and Charmian (Mrs. Peyton) Carlson, Denver, Colorado. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jessie Hisel and Edna Murray, and one brother, Fred Wray.
