Jeanine "Jeanie" Renee Petersen, age 53, of Manning passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018, at University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Manning City Cemetery with Pastor Johnathan Conner of Zion Lutheran Church officiating.

Jeanie was born on September 18, 1964, in Carroll, Iowa, and was the daughter of Ivan and JoAnn (Lehrter) Petersen. She grew up in Manning where she graduated from high school in 1983. Following high school she worked jobs as a secretary, in construction, as a nurses' aide and waitress. She enjoyed motorcycles, going to car shows and collecting wolves and knick knacks and visiting with friends. She taught her kids how to swim. She was not afraid to give anyone her opinion.

Jeanie lived most of her life with health issues, causing her to be limited to certain things.

Jeanie is survived by two sons: Dustin Petersen of Arcadia and Cody Petersen (Ashley) of Irwin; mother, JoAnn Petersen of Manning; brother, Rick Petersen of Humbolt and two nephews, Joe and Jed Petersen and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ivan; and grandparents.
