JARIUS CLAYTON ROUSH
Jarius Clayton Roush, 70, former Onawa resident and known in Sioux City where he often had visited, died Thursday, February 8, 1940, at his home at Ottumwa.

Blanche (Mrs. Ben) Dansby, a sister residing at 4501 Manor Circle, with whom he visited for eight months last year, attended the funeral which was held Sunday at Ottumwa.

A lifelong Iowa resident, he was born June 16, 1871, at Red Oak, to Valentine and Sarah (Heathman) Roush.

Between 1880 through 1888, he lived in Manning, Iowa, with his parents, where he attended school with his brother, Harlow.

For several years he engaged in the milling business at Onawa before residing for a time at Holstein and later at Cedar Rapids, where he was public relations counsel for the Northwest Power and Light Company.

Surviving, in addition to his sister here are his widow, Anna; one daughter, Mrs. B.W. Popejoy of Ottumwa; one son, Lyle of Sloan; one brother, D. Harlow Roush of Arcadia, California, and two grandchildren.
