JAMES MCGRANE DEAD.
James McGrane died yesterday in this city at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ben Kinney. The remains were taken last evening to Clinton for burial, accompanied by a large number of relatives.

Mr. McGrane was about 88 years old at the time of his death, he was born in Ireland and settled in Washington Township, this county, nearly 30 years ago, but several years ago, after the death of his wife, he sold his farm to John, his son, who is still on the old farm, and moved to Stuart where he made his home with his son, Mat. A short time ago he sold his property at Stuart and again came back to Manning to remain among his children here the remainder of his days.

Some two years ago he had a severe attack of paralysis of which he never fully recovered, and this together with his extreme old age, hastened his death. He was a very kind hearted old man and was well liked by all who knew him. Ha was also a member of the Catholic Church. He leaves two sons and one daughter to mourn his loss, John McGrane, who resides on a farm northeast of town, Mat McGrane, of Stuart, and Mrs. Ben Kinney of this city.

The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of this community in this, their sad hour of sorrow.
