Funeral services for Ivan B. Warner were held Tuesday, March 17, 1981, at 11:00
a.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home, with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating.
Organist was Dorothy Kusel. Interment was in the Manning cemetery with Darwin
Warner, Kenneth Nihsen, Darrell Palmer, David Warner,
Paul Nielsen, and Lynn Harris as casketbearers.
Ohde Funeral Home in Manning was in charge of arrangements.
Ivan passed away March 14, 1981 in Kearney, Nebraska at the age of 67.
Ivan, Son of Arthur and Sybil (Beecher) Warner was born on October 29, 1913, at Adair Iowa. He attended school in Adair and graduated from the Avoca High School in 1932. In January of 1938 he was united in marriage with Marietta Graves and they made their home in the town of Avoca, Tabor, and Manning. While living in Manning he worked at the Manning Creamery and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
His wife died in April of 1955 and in the early 60s he moved to Kearney, Nebraska, where he was a barber until retirement 5 years ago. There he was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marietta and 2 brothers.
His death is mourned by the following survivors: his daughter Linda, and son-in-law Hans Bonneson; 2 grandchildren; a brother Bruce of Shelby, Iowa; and a sister, Lucille of Hancock.
