In 1977 Ivan joined Crouse Cartage Company and drove with them for the next 22 years until his retirement in 1999.
Ivan was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manning since 1971 where he served as deacon. He enjoyed driving truck, spending time with his grandchildren and walking in the beauty of nature.
