MR. MILLS DEAD.
The venerable Isaac Mills passed away this morning at the home of his son, J.A. Mills, in
this city, after a lingering illness. Had he lived until the 28th day of May next the

Mr. Mills leaves three sons and one daughter, namely, Joseph of Denison, George of Manilla; J. Amos of Manning and Mrs. Anderson of Chicago. The wife and mother died at the family residence in Manilla, ten miles west of this city, about 18 months ago, and her remains were interred in the village cemetery.
The remains of Mr. Mills will be borne to Manilla on the 12:45 p.m. train tomorrow and after short services at the Presbyterian Church, of which the deceased was a member, will be laid to rest beside those of the wife.
Mr. Mills came with his parents from Indiana, to Fulton County, Illinois, at the age of 12 years, and later to Louisa County, Iowa, where, in 1845 he was joined in marriage to Ann Coulter. Shortly following their marriage, the couple moved to Carroll County, Iowa. Eighteen years ago the family came to this section.
It can be said of Mr. Mills that he was an honorable and highly respected citizen kind and loving husband and father.
